Homeowner Guide
A tanning ledge or Baja shelf is only as good as the furniture you put on it. In-pool furniture lives in the water full time — sun, chlorine, salt, and afternoon storms don’t take a day off. We spec Ledge Lounger because their marine-grade resin and UV20 color system hold up in a way that deck furniture dragged into the shallows never will.
The right piece depends on how deep your ledge is, how you actually use the pool, and how much visual weight you want the seating to carry.
The Signature Chaise is the industry standard for 0–9″ tanning ledges. If your ledge is a true Baja shelf up to 15″ deep, use the Signature Chaise Deep so the seat still lands right at the water surface. The Adjustable Reclining Chaise adds a multi-position back for reading or eating without leaving the pool.
Echo is the compact, low-profile chaise for smaller ledges — a good choice when a full Signature would visually crowd the space. Autograph is the luxury tier with sculpted armrests and a more contoured seat when the pool design deserves a statement piece.
Chairs work when the ledge is set up for conversation instead of sunbathing. The Signature Chair sits upright for 0–9″ of water. The Low Back version keeps sightlines across the pool open — use it when there’s a water feature, fire bowl, or landscaping behind the seating you don’t want to visually block. Autograph Chair pairs with the Autograph Chaise for a matched luxury set.
A 14″ side table holds a drink, phone, and sunscreen between two chaises. The 22″ is enough for a shared appetizer plate. Weighted bases keep both planted so afternoon breezes don’t push them around. The Laze Pillow is the small upgrade that most guests notice first — extra head and neck support that also floats when it’s not tucked into a chaise.
Ledge Lounger’s UV20 rating means the resin is engineered to resist fading through years of Florida sun. Whites, sands, and grays stay neutral longest and pair with almost every pool finish. Aruba Blue and Cabana Blue read as playful. Terracotta, Green, Red, and Yellow are the accent colors we usually spec sparingly — one pop against a neutral base ages better than a full bright set.
The ledge depth and width you build determines which pieces actually fit. A 9″ deep, 6-foot-wide ledge holds two Signature Chaises comfortably; anything narrower gets tight. Bring furniture selections into the design conversation early so we can size the ledge to the seating plan, not the other way around.
